To jailbreak iPod Touch 2G, you must download redsn0w version 0.8. After downloading redsn0w, launch the program and follow the on-screen instructions to jailbreak your iPod Touch second generation on firmware 3.0.

Today is the big day, Apple will release the final iPhone OS firmware 3.0 update to everyone. You know what that means don't you? Yea, we're getting a new jailbreak. I've got to give credit where it's due, the Dev Team deserves all the credits for bringing us this jailbreak. The Dev Team wants to be safe so they'll release the iPod Touch 2G 3.0 jailbreak right after iPhone OS 3.0 is released through iTunes.
